Isabel and Justin were married at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Parish in Elm Grove this past weekend with a reception at the Historic Courthouse 1893 wedding venue in Waukesha. This wedding day proved to me that there are not enough hours in the day! Whew. I am pretty good about keeping weddings on track and getting all of the shots that I intended on getting, but I am not going to lie, this wedding was a challenge for me. The dark Catholic Church, a tight timeline, a quickly setting sun, and new equipment – there just weren’t enough hours in the day for me to capture everything I had hoped.
My favorite thing about Isabel and Justin’s wedding was their venue. Oh my goodness – I want to go back and shoot there during daylight!! Unfortunately by the time we arrived, the sun had already set so there was no natural light to work with when I was there. This building and the way they have it all set up is amazing! I had so much fun shooting at night so I can only imagine how much fun it would be with some natural light. This might be added to my list of favorite wedding venues. Besides it being BEAUTIFUL inside the building, the staff was super helpful and friendly. They were a breeze to work with and the food was amazing too! What more can you ask for? I have worked with a lot of venues and this one really is top notch.
I would like to specially thank my sidekick for the day, Melissa. She was my lifesaver many times throughout the day.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.
Congratulations on your wedding Justin and Isabel! I hope you love your photos.
